Activities to include: fishing tournament\, film fest\, raffles\, conservation booths\, tying workshops\, and more! \nOn Saturday May 2nd from 10:30am-12:00pm\, the Eco Center will have a booth about the life cycle of dragon flies and why fly-fishing lures are modeled after them. This three-day festival will feature a variety of nature and outdoor-focused activities\, workshops\, and tours throughout the park and along the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. \nThe family-friendly event is a collaboration between Gulf State Park\, the Gulf Coast Eco-Center\, Valor Hospitality\, the City of Gulf Shores\, and the City of Orange Beach. \nThe Eco Center will be offering a Yaupon Tea Workshop on May 15th at 10:00am. Come learn about the history of the native plant\, the indigenous uses\, and experience the flavor of a fresh batch of yaupon tea. Registration is required and is $10 per person.

DESCRIPTION:Gulf State Park is hosting its first-ever Venture Out event on May 15-17. Branyon Backcountry Trail. \nThe family-friendly event is a collaboration between Gulf State Park\, the Gulf Coast Eco Center\, Valor Hospitality\, the City of Gulf Shores\, and the City of Orange Beach. \nThe Eco Center is offering two public ropes course slots on May 16th for daring participants to explore the Lookout Adventure Course! Our course rises over 28 feet in the air and features 17 obstacles of varying difficulty. Choose either 9:00am-11:00am OR 2:00pm-4:00pm and register by emailing us or calling 251-394-0398. \nCost: $25 per person. Ages 10+ and minors must be accompanied by a participating adult. We require closed toe shoes and a signed waiver for each participant.

Anyone can participate by downloading a counting sheet\, locating a plant and pollinator species\, and counting!
