DESCRIPTION:Gulf Camp is back this summer! We will be offering four week long sessions of camp in July! It will be located at the new Gulf Coast Eco Center\, Lake Shelby\, and the beach in Gulf State Park. Activities will include hiking\, biking\, kayaking\, arts and crafts\, cooking\, and our new ropes course* (ages 10+)! A week-long session is $250 and day passes are $50 each. Registration is open and spots are filling up!

SUMMARY:AL Youth Action Sustainability Summit
DESCRIPTION:The Alabama Youth Action for Sustainability Summit (AL-YASS) is a 2-day educational initiative for youth in Alabama to share their sustainability action projects\, learn from each other\, professional scientists\, and community organizations to enhance their skills and resilience. Alabama YASS is expected to draw 60 youth from across the state to share their environmental citizens science investigations\, place-based sustainability interventions\, creative self-expression\, and more\, as they prepare to become resilient community and sustainability advocates and leaders. This is a joint project of the STEMMing the Tide project in collaboration with Birmingham-Southern college and the University of West Alabama Black Belt STEM Education Institute. The summit also offers professional development opportunities for educators in the field. \nThis summit will be hosted by the Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism & Sustainability at the Gulf Coast Eco Center and will also partially take place at the Learning Campus at Gulf State Park.
